JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in India. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and a proven ability to deliver accurate financial reporting while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to guarantee timely and accurate internal group reporting.
• Conduct monthly costing activities, analyse profit variances, and contribute to financial planning and control.
• Oversee general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of all accounting entries.
• Coordinate with both internal and external auditors during audits, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Analyse financial data and provide insightful reports to management to support informed business decisions.
• Mentor junior accounting staff by offering guidance and support to foster their professional development.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable tax laws and manage the timely filing of returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
• Assist in implementing and continuously improving internal controls and financial processes.
• Support the Financial Controller in the Asia region with banking matters and projects, including cash flow management.
• Facilitate intercompany transaction reconciliation activities.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks such as responding to tax queries, participating in GST audits.
• Support and contribute to Global accounting projects or initiatives.
• Assist and support internal budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with the Global Tax Manager to understand local tax regulations, ensure tax compliance—including Pillar 2—and support transfer pricing documentation requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or an equivalent accounting qualification is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles within India.
Must be able to work independently, proactive, possess strong interpersonal skills.
Candidate should possess software Skills in Tally,SAP, Oracle, or similar systems. Candidate should also have knowledge in local statutory reporting packages (such as 3CEB and annual financial statement filing), with the ability to perform independent filing and submission. Knowledge of local customs regulations related to import duty and customs valuation will be preferred.
