Junior Sales Representative to CellMark's Division Basic Materials, North America

The Junior Sales Representative will be a key member of the selling unit of the Basic Materials Division in North America. This position will support the existing business and will develop new contacts to buy and sell products within the division’s product portfolio. This role will also be the customer and client facing arm of the division that will be responsible for communicating information regarding company products, services and policies to new and existing clients. This position will be tasked with supporting existing sales, logistic activities, expanding and maintaining sales channels within the specified region of North America. The Junior Sales Representative
will work closely with the sales and operation team to ensure proper supply channels are established and maintained. 


  • Generate and develop new business to meet specified sales volume, gross margin and production goals.
  • Support the existing sales activities with quotations, follow ups, and overseeing the order file
  • Develop sales materials including spreadsheets, correspondence, sales proposals, presentations, and internal documents.
  • Develop supplier and client relationships and nurture existing relationships.
  • Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely, professional manner.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals.
  • Seek opportunities to expand business with current clients that maximize revenue on both a short and long-term basis. Ensure that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.


  • Design and achieve sales goals within a specified geographical region or product group
  • Prepare any required documentation for import/export needs.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the Basic Chemicals industry, products and applications.
  • Ensure supplier qualification- new manufacturer- new product qualification. Initiate and manage new manufacturer/product review process, as per written procedures.
  • Continually gather information on local competition and business climate within the region; communicate information to management and others as needed.
  • Investigate and manage customer complaints, recommend solutions and respond to customers.
  • Ensure supplier quality and customer satisfaction with all CellMark or partner products. Provide timely and accurate reports as required.
  • Abide by all applicable local, state, federal and international rules and laws
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients in a specified geographical region by providing support, information, and guidance; translating needs into market opportunities


  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience MA Chemistry, Chemical Engeeneering or MBA is an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or commodity trading role
  • Individual with no direct sales or trading experience but with customer service, logistic, and solid sales and communication abilities will be considered 2+ years experience with chemical industry or commodity trading is an asset
  • Excellent communicator comfortable with customers and suppliers
  • Must be a self-starter with drive and ability to create business
  • Strong analytical ability and the ability to present information in a clear concise manner
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
  • Familiar with business tools: Microsoft Office Suite and other basic office tools Familiar with business negotiations and their processes
  • English at level 4+ is required. Second language is an asset


  • Type of employment: Permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period
  • Working hours: remotely and full time
  • Start Date: ASAP

The applicant will need to live in the territory to which they are assigned

Travelling may represent up to 10-20% of the employee’s time in normal circumstances
