Credit and Collections Analyst

The Credit and Collections Analyst position offers qualified candidates an excellent opportunity within a prosperous firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working directly with Senior Credit Manager for the Recycling business and providing support in all areas.
- Manage the collection efforts and make calls for our AR portfolio.
- Create and maintain customer credit files.
- Coordinate and perform customer bank and trade reference checks.
- Review third party credit reports to assist in the limit and payment terms decision-making process.
- Monitor daily accounts receivable activity.
- Monitor risk exposure of assigned accounts and ensure prompt payment of client invoices.
- Perform account and payment reconciliations.
- Respond to credit inquiries from external suppliers.
- Assist as needed with monthly closings and financial reporting.
- Participate in monthly A/R meetings to review divisional aging reports.
- Respond to credit inquiries from external suppliers.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of Credit and Collections experience.
- Spanish Speaking (Highly Desired).
- Ability to do detailed accounts reconciliations.
- Excellent judgement, organizational and communication skills required.
- Proficient in problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in an efficient and productive manner.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Basic knowledge of foreign exchange is a plus.
- Experience using ERP software preferred, but not necessary.
This position requires a minimum of two years of Credit and Collections Experience, and will include interaction with both internal and external contacts. In need of someone who is self-confident, well-organized, assertive and has the ability to work well with multiple sets of data at a time. The candidate often times will work independently, however is also an integral part of a team, and will also need to be able to establish a positive relationship with customers and staff.
