Basic Materials is looking for a Sales Service Coordinator for the chemical section of the division.  This position requires experience in logistics and customer service. The candidate will coordinate between suppliers, customers, transportation companies and internal requirements. The candidate will organize the transportation of freight, prepare export, and import documentation, as well complete customer and supplier invoices. This position requires 3 years’ experience in logistics and customer service. The Basic Material North American team is growing in the dynamic market and are looking for someone who is comfortable working remotely.

 Key responsibilities

  • Daily contact with customers, suppliers, brokers, logistic firms, and transportation companies
  • Daily contact with the sales team in North America
  • Order handling process
  • Communicating with the team when their orders will be delivering and following up on appointments.
  • Book and co-ordinate transportation
  • Provide instructions for documentation to suppliers, and ensuring the team has what is required prior to customers deliveries.
  • Custom clearing
  • Authorize supplier payments, and invoice customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure relevant payment instruments are used to secure payment.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience in operations for international trade, domestic sales and logistics
  • Knowledge of incoterms
  • Logistics skills such as warehousing, and arranging drumming of truck containers and iso tanks
  • Knowledge of ISF and ACI procedure
  • Problem solving skills
  • Customer-oriented, structured and responsible
  • Ability to prioritize and work management in pressure situations
  • Positive attitude, ability to adapt to all situations, and interested in learning new things
  • The ability to work independently while still functioning as a team
  • MS Office
  • Languages: Fluent in English

Terms

  • Type of employment: Permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period
  • Working hours: remotely and full time
  • Start Date: ASAP
